With her husband, Georges and their three sons she hosted legendary parties in her studio in Collins Street, attended by the leading lights of modernist Australian art and literature. Mora later described raising her children in this creative atmosphere: ‘My babies were born in a pot of paint! They couldn’t escape; I paint every day’. Phillippe, William and Tiriel have continued the creative life and are today a filmmaker, gallery owner and actor, respectively.
